Insurance Essentials for Interpreters

October 30, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 6:55 pm
Free – $10.00

Protect Your Work. Understand Your Coverage.

As an interpreter, your work carries real responsibility… and real risk. Whether you’re freelance or agency-affiliated, professional insurance can safeguard your reputation, your income, and your peace of mind.

Join Gary Meyer of DHH Insurance for a focused 50-minute session designed specifically for ASL interpreters. You’ll gain a clearer understanding of what professional and general liability insurance actually covers, how to evaluate your options, and why coverage matters even if you’ve never faced a claim.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the differences between Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) and General Liability insurance, including the specific types of claims each one covers.
  2. Recognize key policy features such as liability limits, deductibles, and coverage scope, and how each affects interpreter protection.
